Polymer-Sand and Polymer-Rubber Roofing Systems Tiles and sheet roofing solutions Key Advantages of Polymer-Sand Roofing
Lightweight
The average weight of polymer-sand roofing is 21–30 kg per m², which is approximately half the weight of ceramic and cement-sand tiles. This significantly reduces structural load and allows for savings on roof structures and foundations.
Non-porous structure
The polymer binder fully fills the space between sand particles, preventing moisture penetration. The roofing does not absorb water, does not swell during rainy seasons, and does not form cracks or cavities during freeze–thaw cycles.
High impact resistance
Polymer-sand tiles are far more resistant to chipping and breakage than ceramic tiles. Losses during transportation and installation are minimal, reducing overall construction costs.
Resistance to environmental influences
The material withstands up to 500 freeze–thaw cycles without loss of strength. It is resistant to UV radiation, chemical and biological exposure, and does not fade over time.
Ease of installation
No drilling is required for fastening — mounting elements are integrated during manufacturing. Top hooks secure tiles to the battens, while side locks form a strong, monolithic roofing surface. Tiles can be easily cut with standard tools.
Repairability
In the event of damage, individual tiles can be replaced without dismantling the entire roof, making maintenance fast and cost-effective.
